Bridge Tap House Dining Out
Bridge Tap House has become a downtown staple.
200 + beers in stock, with 55 on draft. It's a beer tasters dream. It's more than that though.
Bridge has a cozy atmosphere, a fresh take on classic dinners, and a welcoming staff.
Sharon and I arrived promptly at 6 to find our party already seated. Moments later the waitress arrived, providing water and taking drink orders.
Charles, another dinner guest, ordered a Moose Drool. The waitress did more than deliver the beer, she did a proper pour in a fresh glass.
The menu is a mix of boards, pots, salads and speciality desserts. Shown below is the Pork Bologneese and Campanelle, one of the pots.
Fresh bread brought to the table is vegetarian, and two types of olive oil are provided.
Though a bit on the loud side, the setting felt comfortable. It's the type of place you bring a friend to have a beer, chat, and share a bit of bread and cheese.
We'll definitely be returning to try other entries, and the desserts. Apparently the Banana Espresso bread pudding is thick as quiche and tastier still.
The manager visited our table to check on service and food. He also mentioned to us about the new Range restaurant, opening this fall. We were encouraged to contact the owner and ask about getting in for the opening.

Bridge has two sisters restaurants, Rooster and Bailey's Chocolate Bar. Opening in the fall is Range.
Rooster sits down the street, while Bailey's Chocolate Bar is on Lafayette Square further south.
Bailey's Range Burgers & Shakes opens this fall, with fresh made burgers and ice cream made on site.
